Lightning UK! strikes again, this time bringing out a program seeming to top all other burning programs. This time ImgBurn which is currently at v2.4.1.0. Which currently came out on April 1st, yes this is real not just another April Fools Joke.
What makes this such a useful tool for burning is the support it provides in what it is able to burn. Included is
CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray; this is very lightweight, no extra junk to slow down your prize computer. Not to mention its probably infested with viruses because most of you probably torrent anyways, but thats not the point.

Many useful features include:

  • High support for multiple files**
    • Image files
        • BIN
        • CUE
        • DI
        • DVD
        • GI
        • IMG
        • ISO
        • MDS
        • NRG
        • PDI
    • Audio files
        • AAC
        • APE
        • FLAC
        • M4A
        • MP3
        • MP4
        • MPC
        • OGG
        • PCM
        • WAV
        • WMA
        • WV
It also contains multiple useful modes, which include: read, build, write, verify, and discover. In the Read Mode it allows you to read a disc to an image file, simple enough. Build Mode, create image files from files on your computer/network or just burn directly to a disc. Write Mode, exactly what it says, writes an image file to a disc. Verify Mode, checks a disc for 100% readability. Discover Mode, check the quality of your burns, that your drive is producing. Now I just briefly described these as the basics, I can't go into great detail. To check out more info try the following sites: ImgBurn, Afterdawn, or the all knowing, Wikipedia.

Now really, you must try it on for yourself to actually get the experience out of it. There are plenty of options that you can go with on this great program. Feel free to check it out or email/comment with any problems or anything you come across.
